Our New Puppy!!!

Well.....I broke down and let the boys get a black lab. They have all been asking for quite awhile and I always say NO... Living in a house with all boys I always feel that I am outnumbered and so I surprised them all with a dog. They were beyond excited and she is a lovely addition to our home. Her name is Maggie Moo and she is wonderful. Welcome to the family maggie I hope you love our crazy and exciting household.

Skagit Speedway

On Saturday night we went to the Skagit Speedway. It was Youth Appreciation night and so the speedway sent our church some free tickets for us and our youth group. It was so much fun we also took some kids and their parents from Dylan's baseball team. It was the first time that we have been and so we didn't know that it would be so DUSTY. We had DIRT everywhere.....Our car was even covered when we came out of the races. I don't have any pictures for you because the battery on my camera died and so I didn't get any. Even with all the dust we had beautiful weather, great company, and great racing. We even got to see a couple of pretty cool crashes. I can say that because the drivers were all ok. It was an awesome evening and we decided that we may even go again. Hope everyone is out enjoying this beautiful sunshine. I know we are.

Dylan's New Bike

On Thursday Dylan got a new bike. He had saved up half the money and so me and Derrick decided that as a reward for getting student of the month in school and for having such a great school year with reading, spelling and math we would pitch in for the other half. We had ordered it online and every day he would come home and ask if his bike was here....on Thursday when he got home I got to tell him that it was finally here. Needless to say he has not been off of it. At least the weather is cooperating for him to ride it. This weekend he wants to go to the bike park so we will see if it still looks new after that. Hope you guys have great weekend plans. We are taking the boys to the Skagit Speedway for the first time tonight. I will take pictures and let you know about our experience.

We love the new color and now I just need to finish beauty barking the flower beds, finish our driveway and filling up my flower pots in the front of the house. I forgot to take a before picture but here are some after pictures. Hope you like them!

Having Fun!

We have just been having so much fun around here lately that I haven't had much time to post. We have been busy with outside projects over the last couple of weeks and now this weekend we will hopefully weather permitting get to finish our big one. We are going to paint our house. Yes we are going to do it by ourselves and hope it turns out ok. I will hopefully post you a before picture and an after and you can let me know what you think.
Dylan is very excited that school is almost over and he will be a 2nd grader and Owen is just loving life and the fact that he gets to stay home with mom all the time. We are taking one day at a time and waiting to see what is in store for us. I do know that God doesn't give us anything that we cannot handle....I just keep believing that. Hope you all are enjoying the sunshine.

The Fisherman!

On Sunday, Derrick took Dylan out fishing up at a pond we have near our house. He caught 5 fish and the most important thing was he did it all by himself. He was so proud and the look on his face when he came home said it all. Derrick was so happy too because watching Dylan catch those fish was better than Derrick catching them. He was so happy that he is going to try to go out again this weekend....if the weather holds off. Enjoy the lovely weather we are having outside!!

Baseball Update!

Yeah......Dylan's baseball team is on a roll we have won 2 in a row. Last night the boys played so well and they had a lot of fun doing it. I brought bubble gum for all the boys and they all hit amazing and they thought it was the gum. I guess I will be buying gum for every game.
Hope you all have plans to enjoy this nice weather that we are supposed to have.
Enjoy!!

Our Weekend!

Our weekend was very busy.....we had Dylan's baseball game, which I had to coach because Derrick was at a men's retreat for church all weekend. The team did great and we even won. I think it was the coaching!!! Then on Sunday we went up to Darrington to visit my aunts, uncles, and cousins on my mom's side of the family. It was my uncle's 70th birthday. The kids had a blast playing outside and I got to sit and visit with my cousins. It was a lot of fun. I included some pictures of Dylan in his game. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the sunshine. I know that I am enjoying this wonderful weather.

Easter and Bunnies

We had a wonderful Easter despite the rain...our Easter egg hunt at church still was a success. On Easter weekend we decided to get the boys bunnies. Dylan had been asking for one for awhile and so we decided to just get one. That didn't last long because after we got her home, Owen then wanted one. They are soooo cute and playful. I hope that everyone had a great Easter weekend and spent a lot of time with their families. I posted pictures of the 2 newest members of our family. Enjoy!!!

This one is Owen's her name is Ruby Rue

This one is Dylan's her name is Graycee Gray

Good Friday

We went to church last night for a Good Friday service. We saw a movie by Max Lucado called Resurrection. It was a movie based on a Roman soldiers view of the death and resurrection of Jesus. If you have a chance to see it you should. I have been reading the book He chose the nails written by Max Lucado and there is a scripture in there that I wanted to share.

Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the wonderful kindness he has poured out on us because we belong to his dearly loved son. He is so rich in kindness that he purchased our freedom through the blood of his son, and our sins are forgiven....God's secret plan has now been revealed to us; it is a plan centered on Christ, designed long ago according to his good pleasure. And this is his plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ- everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because of Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us from the beginning, and all things happen just as he decided long ago.
Ephesians 1:4-7, 9-11 NLT

This scripture makes me feel special knowing that God chose me and he knows the plans that he has for me even when I may not know. I hope that you can reflect on what it means to you.
Happy Easter and Good Friday...

Spring Break

We headed to Seaside Oregon over Spring Break. It was a nice break from regular hectic life but the weather wasn't that great and Derrick couldn't come because he had to work. The boys and I still had a wonderful time at the beach and at the pool. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Better Late than Never!

I know I am really behind on blogging. There really hasn't been that much going on with us and so it has been hard to find things to write about. I guess I could write about how much I am tired of this yucky weather and I want it to be warm and sunny.
On Sunday Dylan lost his 3rd tooth on top and he is very excited. It has taken forever for that kid to lose any teeth and now they are starting to come.
Owen is being himself as usual he is getting used to his new routine. I got my hours cut back at work and so he is home with me more. No more Daycare and he loves it. He is turning into a momma's boy and I love every minute of it because I know that in a year or so he won't be.
As for the rest of our family we are completing projects around the house, we started baseball and are taking one day at a time to see where it leads us. Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!!!

Mariners Fan Fest

We went to the Mariner's Fan Fest on the weekend of January 24Th. It was a blast. We got to run the bases, hit balls over the outfield fence, catch fly balls and just take in the scenery of the ballpark from the field. Our favorite part of the trip was when we got to tour the locker rooms of both the home team and the visiting teams. It was AWESOME!!! The boys got to try on jerseys that Ichiro wore. It was cool actually walking and standing where the players go and hang out on game days. I would say that if you are a Mariners Fan you should definitely try to go to this. The kids and grownups will love it. I included some pictures of our fun filled day. Enjoy!!!

It is always fun to see people that you don't see all the time.....Like the Scheib Clan!!! Thank you to all who came, you made this a wonderful night. I posted some pictures of the evening.

Happy Birthday Dylan!

It is hard to believe that 7 years ago God gave us a wonderful baby boy named Dylan. I just cannot imagine that it has been 7 years and what a wonderful time we have had watching him turn into an amazing boy. I am amazed every day what he has learned, the good friends that he has made, and also the choices he makes on a day to day basis to be the best kid that he can be. Dylan, we are so proud of you and who you are becoming. I love you more and more everyday and I am glad that God chose us to be your mom and dad. So here's to you and to many more birthday's to come. I love you buddy!

Back to Normal

We are finally getting back to normal around here....by schedule I mean. I was so glad that school started back on Monday. We are off and running with our busy schedules as usual and Dylan is anxiously awaiting for his birthday to come. We had a wonderful New Years Eve. We had our youth group over for a sleepover and the girls and me stayed up until 3 am. I was so wiped out. Needless to say on New Years I took a nap. I hope that everyone had a wonderful New Year's and that they have a great week.
